Garrotxa Volcanic Area Natural Park

The Garrotxa Volcanic Area is the best exponent of volcanic landscape in the Iberian Peninsula. It has around forty volcanic cones and more than 20 lava streams. The Garrotxa Volcanic Area Natural Park includes eleven municipalities.

Its orography, soil and climate provides a varied vegetation, often exuberant. There are holm oaks, oaks and beech trees of exceptional landscaping value.

The Garrotxa Volcanic Area Natural Park has 28 trekking routes which follow the most interesting places of the Park. The majority are signposted, with the exception of the longer routes, which can easily be followed, if you are experienced, using the Park map-guide.
